TERROR!
This is a preview of a new A0 poster I printed together with Harmen Liemburg who organised a silkscreening masterclass together with the Amsterdams Grafisch Atelier, the workshop where I do all of my silkscreening.

PS poster

The new poster I did for Jan van der Ploeg. 250 pieces were printed in three different fluor-colors and black over three days. Could not have done it without Andrès! Photo's by Charlott Markus.

NP3 Last of the Mohicans

This is a poster I made for NP3 in Groningen. Two layers in fluorescent ink overlap and form the words. Silkscreeners and posterdesigners are a dying race. We're truly the last of the Mohicans. Photo's by Charlott Markus.

deSERVICEGARAGE Two Ways

Two Ways is a short film by Viola Groenhart. The premiere will be held in deSERVICEGARAGE and this is the poster. The film features two mountainclimbers and their journey to the top. I wanted to show the solitude of mountainclimbing by minimizing the amount of printwork and let the grey textured paper speak for itself. The 'mountaintop' is created by tearing the film before exposure.

deSERVICEGARAGE CHAOSBECOMSCSMS

This poster was designed for the new SG-show by Marc Oosting called CHAOSBECOMSCSMS. It's the first poster I silkscreened without supervision and I'm kinda proud of it. It's printed with three layers of opaque white ink mixed with different amounts of transparant base. It's also my first horizontal poster.

deSERVICEGARAGE CONTAINED

CONTAINED was a show in Hamburg this summer in Hamburg featuring deSERVICEGARAGE- artists and friends. I was a bit in panick because I found out that my normal silkscreen-options where all closed down during the summer.
I then decided to call silkscreen-king Harmen Liemburg to see if he knew a solution. Harmen was kind enough to invite me over to the private studio of silkscreen-kaizer Kees Maas and we printed the poster there in two days. The first day we printed a white base layer on the gray paper and next where the three ultrabright colours. Harmen really took time to teach me about the silkscreen process and as a result of that I am now able to produce silkscreened posters all by myself.

deSERVICEGARAGE expert meeting #1
The new ServiceGarage poster is finished! For this design I only used the Futura-typeface and the sponsorlogo's.
Some details (sorry for the awkward colors)

The posters were silkscreened by Linda Arts in the 'Daglicht'-printshop in Eindhoven. I was incredibly lucky to have Linda print the material because she's a great artist and I think that made all the difference . The printprocess was rather difficult because the inks had to be opaque but still bright and we were afraid the small details would dissapear.
It came out great though. I think it's one of my best posters yet.

I would also like to thank Eric de Haas and Lucas van Hapert for their support.... without them this poster would have been impossible.

Hey everybody,
I realize it's been quite some time since the last updates. We've been working on a big project the last months. I'll post previews of it this week. In the meantime.....here's the new poster for a SG-show which will be held the 14th of March. See deServiceGarage for more info.

HORSEMOVE june (an era has come to an end)
It's over. The demolishing has already begun. The final days of the HorseMoveProjectSpace...the final poster. I really enjoyed the last 2 years designing the HorseMove-series and working with the HorseMove-posse.
I owe it all to them.
Please come by the 28th and have a beer!

HORSEMOVE february
Here's the new e-flyer. The poster looks absolutely stunning. The 3d effect is so convincing that you have to feel it to make sure it's just a flat piece of paper. It was very refreshing to be able to work only in Photoshop. No more long nights rendering massive vector-fields!

One of the featured artist Frank Ammerlaan, is actually one of the founders of the HorseMoveProjectSpace and the Service Garage. Check out his blog.
I love his work because he makes a lot of typography-orientated paintings using copious amounts of oil-paint.

SERVICE GARAGE december

Well here it is...the first poster I've made for the SERVICE GARAGE.
I had to break a bit with the chaotic 'grow' designs I did before. Although the SERVICE GARAGE is run by two of the HorseMove-guys (Frank&Thijs) I felt it was time to change the course a bit. This way the chaotic HorseMove-identity will not be confused with the posters I'm planning to make for the SERVICE GARAGE.
My goal is to make artwork in which grayscale-gradients are the main ingredients. I'm especially focussing on the printwork. It'll be a challenge to produces soft toned artwork on modern printers.
Looking back on this poster I think it is maybe not so outspoken as I wanted it to be in the beginning but it is a good starting-point and it gives me lots of inspiration for the coming posters!
Love y'all!
