YEAH!

Three of my silkscreened have been selected by the jury of the Chaumont poster festival to appear in the exhibition and the catalogue....and I'm still competing for one of the prizes too!
 HELL YEAH!

AAAARGH I didn't win!
After a very very exciting ceremony (I was in the last category) it was decided....no price for Michiel Schuurman. Back to the drawingboard!

I just received news that my posters for the HorseMove are finalists for the Dutch Design Awards 2008 'Best Graphic Design'. Winners will be announced in october!

Chicago Poster Biennal 2008

Hey everybody, I just received news that four of my posters have been nominated for the Chicago Poster Biennal 2008. Prizes will be given in september!



UPDATE 24-09-2008: The posters didn't win...hmm maybe if I coloured them....just kidding.

YEAAAAAAH!

I just got a email that one of my HorseMove posters is chosen for the International Poster Festival in Chaumont France. That means it will be displayed on an exhibition and in the catalogue. I'm also still in the running to win the festival! I feel so honoured because only 100 of 25000(!) posters got chosen.

Alas, very very late but still in time for the show!
The new HorseMove-Poster... I had to do ridiculous shit with my computer but it's there.

HORSEMOVE FLYER JULY

My experiment with my handdrawn poster turned out to be a failure. It looked really feeble and thin in print. I therefore decided to render a poster in the computer again. I made a classic-looking sans serif (a bit like Gill sans) and invented a couple of illustrator-actions with the following result. Hope you like it!
